St Andrew's has a policy of giving 10% of its annual unrestricted income to charities, organisations or individuals who support the vision and purpose of the church. These are generally decided on a tri-annual basis at PCC.

Tearfund

Tearfund is a Christian relief and development charity with the vision to transform the lives of millions of the world’s poorest people, in a positive and sustainable way. That means they don’t just meet basic physical needs, like providing fresh water, sanitation and healthcare. When people are living in extreme poverty, hope is just as essential as food and water. This commitment to ‘integral mission’ means giving such hope, through emotional and spiritual support alongside practical help to any in need, regardless of race, gender or religion.

Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS)

CPAS exists to inspire and enable churches to reach everyone in their communities with the good news of Jesus Christ. Founded in 1863 by prominent Christians and led by the pioneering social reformer Lord Shaftesbury, CPAS was established as a Christian response to the massive social change brought about by the Industrial Revolution. As urban populations soared, many parishes struggled to serve the people moving into their communities. Grants were given to enable them to employ extra staff, both lay and ordained. The aim has remained the same: ‘the gospel to every door’. CPAS offers resources and training in key areas: such as leadership and evangelism, church growth and work with young people. It is Patron to many Anglican churches, including St Andrew’s.

The Church's Ministry Among Jewish People (CMJ)

CMJ is one of the longest-serving evangelical societies associated with the Anglican Church. It was founded in the early 19th century when leading Christians such as Lord Shaftesbury, William Wilberforce and Charles Simeon, began to have a concern for Jewish people: Who was taking the Gospel to them? Who was speaking up for their rights and concerns? Today the Church's Ministry among Jewish people is a family and a team of believers, both Jewish and non-Jewish, whose aim is to support and encourage Christians and Jews alike in the area of Messianic faith.
