First Contact
First Contact is our prayer meeting where we are exploring using the five senses to pray (this is sometimes called ‘liquid prayer’). We spend an hour so going round various stations set up in the church and praying quietly at each one. It is accessible to all and often has a wonderful sense of silent prayer in God’s presence. There is an opportunity to share anything we believe the Lord might be saying to us towards the end of our time together. First Contact takes place at 7pm on the 1st Sunday of the month in the church.
Open to God (O2G)
Open to God is our informal worship service where we sing contemporary worship songs and explore the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We regularly pray for healing for individuals at this service and usually spend time looking at a biblical theme or passage from the Bible. Open to God takes place on 2nd Sunday of the month at 7pm in the church.
Holy Communion (1662)
On the 3rd Sunday of every other month our evening meeting is a service of Holy Communion according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. We also hold 1662 Holy Communion services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 8am.
Foundations
Foundations is an opportunity to explore an issue of cultural, theological or biblical importance at greater depth than is usually possible in sermons. Recently we have spent time looking at Teenage Culture, The Kingdom of God, Children in Communion, the issues associated with Immigration and Asylum Seekers, and Climate Change. Foundations is designed to be accessible to all and takes place on the 4th Sunday of the month at 7pm in the church.
